La Cueva del Chango Bar at Soccer Taco

A downstairs bar perfectly suited for downtown Knoxville’s Market Square scene, Soccer Taco’s basement bar specializes in margaritas and martinis. And chips, obvi.  Monkey around in their cave on Friday and Saturday evenings!

The Emporium Center for Arts and Culture

Located on the corner of Jackson and Gay Street, and from the outside looking in, The Emporium Center features stunning artwork as part of their latest exhibit.  But, downstairs houses seven arts and cultural organizations, ten artist studios, and a rehearsal, classroom, and meeting space.  Hellooooo, one-stop-shop, creative peeps!

The Basement Community Art Studio

Hidden at the bottom of a set of stairs along Jackson Avenue resides a working art studio catering to artists of all ages and skill level!  There’s a variety of art experiences to be had – so get on over there and get creative underground!

The Melting Pot

Get bubbly in that champagne glass – and in the pot getting ready to serve you mouth-watering fondue at The Melting Pot.  Located along Central Street in downtown Knoxville, you head on in the doors, and down a couple small flights of stairs before entering the tucked away heaven full of seafood, veggies, chocolate, and all the cheeses – oh my!

Peter Kern Library at the Oliver Hotel

Since this is a speakeasy, we CAN’T tell you too much about it… But should you visit the Oliver Hotel in Downtown Knoxville, just ask the person at the front desk.

Inside, you’ll order drinks from old encyclopedias, and luxuriate in the quaint bar named after the father of local favorite Kern’s Bakery!
