Erin Slocum – Executive Director
Erin, our resident #ginger, is a lover of words, the arts, natural beauty, people, and fun! Hailing from Houston, Texas, but calling Knoxville, Tennessee her home for the last 12 years, she’s found her professional calling as a marketing specialist with fields of expertise in verbal & visual communication, digital media, social content – and as Executive Director of Knoxville Weekend.
When she’s not exciting and exercising her senses with outdoor adventures, music, and food, she’s spending time with strangers and friends, alike, and, of course, her husband, two young girls, and two pups.
Patrick Hoffman – Executive Producer
When Patrick isn’t running around East Tennessee with a camera strapped to his face, he’s living out his dreams as a collector of Godzilla memorabilia. Rest assured, he makes his love of Godzilla known every chance he gets.
Having lived across the globe, Patrick returned to his hometown of Knoxville to share his love of life and adventure with everyone he meets, and Knoxville Weekend gave him the perfect platform to bring the beauty, excitement, and diversity of East Tennessee to the world! With a degree in Video Production and more than a decade of filming, editing, and graphic animation experience, Patrick uses all his skills to capture the best East Tennessee has to offer!
From jumping out of planes to playing Goalie for the Knoxville Ice Bears, Patrick takes his job as resident Crash Test Dummy seriously. And if he’s not making people smile, then he’s not doing his job right!
Savannah Louie – Multimedia Journalist
Savannah Louie is always on the hunt for her next big adventure, and loves sharing all of them as the host of Knoxville Weekend!
Sav originally grew up in Northern California, but fell in love with that Southern hospitality and charm after living in Dallas, TX for four years. After studying journalism and human rights at Southern Methodist University, she knew she wanted to stay in the South. And, after a spontaneous visit to Knoxville in summer of 2016, she heard the Scruffy City calling her name!
On her Knoxville weekends, you’ll find Sav browsing the Market Square Farmers Market, sippin’ on craft beer at Pretentious Beer & Glass Co., cheering on the Ice Bears, and brunching at Balter Beerworks. She loves meeting new people, so if you catch her at any of her favorite spots, be sure to say what’s up!
Knoxville Weekend’s mission is to be your adventurous tour guide for our city and the surrounding area. We are passionate about everything our region has to offer, including great food, drink, music, arts, and the outdoors.
