There are so many things to love about fall in Knoxville…but let’s not kid ourselves, we’re all about the FOOD this season! Between the Halloween candy and Thanksgiving feasts, these next couple of months are a foodie’s favorite time of year. Today, we’ve scoped out some of our favorite places for sweet treats, and showing you what we’re looking forward to trying most this fall!
Pumpkin Spice Bars at Sugar Mama's
These pumpkin spice bars may look simple, but one bite into one of these and you’ll find yourself immersed into a world of fall flavors. The cream cheese frosting perfectly compliments the pumpkin spice flavors, which is why this bar is an essential Knoxville fall-time treat!
Pumpkin Bread at VG's Bakery
Pumpkin bread is a fall staple. VG’s Bakery is a Knoxville staple. It only makes sense that pumpkin bread from VG’s is an essential fall-time treat! Only caveat: you miiiight just eat the whole loaf in one sitting. Thank goodness this is also the season for oversized sweaters and leggings, right?
Caramel Apple Beignets at Five Bar
The French doughnuts at Five’s brunch give NOLA’s Café du Monde a run for their money. They’re a light and fluffy starter for your Sunday brunch, and it’s the caramel-apple drizzle makes them one of our fall favorites. Our favorite way to order these is paired with a side of hot coffee – it’s especially fitting for a breezy autumn morning.
LITERALLY ANYTHING at BreadShed Cafe
We’ve saved the best for last. BreadShed Café is giving us all types of goodies this fall – and if there is one place you NEED to hit up this season, this is the place. From the butternut squash maple pecan scones pictured on the left, to treats like pumpkin profiteroles, butterscotch pecan cake, and cranberry-maple cream pudding, this place is staked with fall finds! They bake different things fresh every day, so check their social media accounts for the latest menu items.
