Knoxville Weekend made a list and checked it twice to ensure you and your loved ones will have fun this holiday season! Here are 10 events happening around East Tennessee to get you in the spirit of the season!

Christmas at Chilhowee Park

Experience the holidays at one of Knoxville’s oldest historic parks! Take your loved ones out for a night of lights, hay rides and treats. Santa is rumored to be at the park December, 8th!

Tour de Lights 2017

On December 15th, the streets of Knoxville shut down for the free bike parade. The 5 mile route stretches from downtown to 4th & Gill and Old North Knoxville. Costumes and lights are encouraged! A costume contest will be held after the cycling event! Cookies and Cocoa will also be on hand during the parade!

"It's a Wonderful Life"

The Tennessee Theatre presents two showings of “It’s a Wonderful Life” on December 10th. The screenings are free, but make sure to get there early! Seating is first come, first serve. Doors open an hour before show time.

Hit the ice in Market Square! The iconic space will transform into an snowy wonderland for the holidays! Each night of the week will have different discounted themes!

Ugly Christmas Sweater Crafting Party

Bearden Beer Market hosts an ugly Christmas sweater crafting party to get you in the holiday spirit! Goodwill is providing all the supplies you need to make your sweater bright! $1 from every beer sold will go towards Goodwill’s vocational training programs and employment services for individuals with barriers to employment!

Sunshine Santa 5K & Rockin' Santa Half Marathon

Get into holiday shape with the Rockin’ Santa 5K and half marathon. Christmas rock n’ roll music will play along the route! All runners get shirts, hats and metals! Make sure to register!

COST: 5K is $35, half is $55

Dollywood's Smoky Mountain Christmas

Spend Christmas with Dolly Parton and the family! Dollywood has transformed into a winter wonderland with beautiful lights and holiday-themed performances! Can we say road trip??

Shadrack's Christmas Wonderland

Pack up the car and head to straight to Shadrack’s for a drive in holiday light show! Afterwards visit Santa’s workshop for free!

Holiday Canstruction

Engineers, contractors, designers and students built holiday-themed art projects out of canned foods! Now you get to experience them for free! After the exhibit ends all the canned food will be donated to the Second Harvest of East Tennessee.

"A Christmas Carol" LIVE

Starting November 22nd, the classic Charles Dickens story will come to life on the Clarence Brown Theatre stage! Show times and ticket prices will vary.
