Biscuits You NEED To Know About In Knoxville

Buttery, yet sweet. Flakey and hard on the outside, with a soft, comforting inside. Biscuits are the culinary paradox that we can totally get behind. And, as home to the International Biscuit Festival, Knoxville is home to some of the best biscuits in the South.

For your pleasure, we've come up with our favorite biscuit situations in Knoxville. Here are all the ones you NEED to know about.

Classic Biscuits at Tupelo Honey Cafe

It’s no surprise that this popular Market Square restaurant knows how to bake a mean biscuit – after all, their specialty IS real, southern food. Tupelo’s biscuits are soft, buttery, and served warm before your entrées are brought out. The biscuits taste good on their own…but if you want to take your dining experience to the next level, we recommend slathering yours with the blackberry jam that comes on the side. It’s a treat that has us sayin’ “Shoo Mercy!” every time.

Biscuit Sandwiches at Wild Love Bakehouse

If a regular ole’ biscuit isn’t enough to sustain you in the morning, we highly recommend ordering a biscuit sandwich from Wild Love. Wild Love offers a few different types of biscuit sandwiches made up of egg, cheese, and some type of breakfast meat. These buttermilk biscuits aren’t as soft as some of the others on this list, but they sure are just as tasty! Have the folks at Wild Love warm yours up for you, and pair it with a hot cup of coffee in the morning.
