Amoung the few sit down restraurants on the strip, The Original Copper Cellar has served many hungry college students for years. Make sure to try their Sweet N’ Tangy wings or their Chicken and Waffles available on Sundays for brunch. Pro tip: Every night after 9 p.m., they serve $1 beers!
The Hill is one of the only bars on campus that is 18+ making it a freshman hot spot. Known notoriously for their “Wing Wednesday”, you can grab $5 pitchers and 50 cent wings all day on Wednesdays. Yes please.
This place is definitely a hidden gem on campus. Located in the Shell on Cumberland, Rocky Top Market whips up fried chicken sandwiches that are so good you wouldn’t believe they were from a gas station market. Ask for the cajun rooster all the way!
The newest unoffical addition to the strip, Happy Tacos is a taco food truck located right outside of Literboard. Whether you’re looking to satisfy those late night munchies or need a drunk meal after a Saturday night… Happy Tacos is your spot.
Located directly underneath Vol Hall, Southern Kitchen is the closest you’ll find to a Southern home cooked meal on campus. Fried chicken, meatloaf, mac and cheese, green beans, and so much more! Pro tip: Their menu changes daily, so make sure to look online before you stop by!
What’s a Tennessee football game without an infamous Petro’s? Located at multiple food stands inside Neyland Stadium, Petro’s serves delicious chili LOADED up with toppings. Nothing says a fall Saturday like chili and football!
