TURKEY TROT

The Knoxville Turkey Trot 5k and Little Gobbler Kids Run takes place this Thursday morning!  The Little Gobbler Kids Run kicks off at 8am and the Turkey Trot 5k starts at 8:30am.  Races begin and end at The Mill and Mine on West Depot.  The 5k is $35 to enter and kids run entries are $10. Come burn some calories before gobbling down that Thanksgiving turkey!

FANTASY OF TREES

The Fantasy of Trees takes over the Knoxville Convention Center all weekend long!  Travel through a forest of more than 350 beautifully designed trees, holiday accessories, front porch scenes, door designs, table centerpieces and an Adopt-a-Tree forest decorated by local school children. All priced to sell. Plus several vendors, children’s activities and even photos with Santa!  The event runs Thursday from 3pm-8pm, Friday & Saturday from 9am-9pm, and Sunday from noon-6pm.  Tickets: $8 Adults, $4 Children(4-12) and Children 3 & Under are free.  Proceeds benefit East Tennessee Children’s Hospital.

CELEBRATION OF LIGHTS

Knoxville’s Christmas in the City festivities kick off this Friday evening with the Celebration of Lights!  The city will light its 42-foot Christmas tree in Krutch Park with a lighting ceremony at 6pm. Enjoy live music, train rides, pictures with Santa, face painting, and more. The event runs from 5:30pm – 9pm and admission is free.
